Mallings Le Randonneur
Lemongrass and ginger
Inspired by the winding trails and untamed beauty of the Pyrenees, Le Randonneur is a dry, aromatic, and smooth gin, distilled with precision and passion. Lemongrass brings a lively, tangy freshness, while the gentle warmth of ginger and a hint of black pepper lend it depth and balance. Only water is added after distillation, allowing its purity to shine through with every sip. Recently awarded a Gold Medal at the Paris National Competition, a Silver Medal at the Paris International Competition, and a Silver Medal at the 2020 IWSC in London, Le Randonneur is a subtly complex companion for those who appreciate a pure, refined flavor—and the spirit of adventure.

What does Mallings Le Randonneur gin taste like?
This exceptional gin, which won a gold medal at the prestigious 2025 Paris Competition, offers a fresh and vibrant aromatic journey, delivering a light, refreshing, and deeply fragrant experience.
The Nose:
The aroma is immediately invigorating and captivating. A bright, zesty note of fresh ginger dominates, delivering a distinct spicy warmth. It intertwines beautifully with the lively, almost lemony and herbal notes of lemongrass, evoking the crisp air of the great outdoors. The classic, resinous scent of local wild juniper provides an earthy, comforting base, while hints of coriander add a subtle, spicy sweetness. A light peppery warmth and the gentle sweetness of cinnamon round out this complex and refined aromatic bouquet.
On the palate:
The initial taste is remarkably light and refreshing, true to its promise. The vibrant kick of fresh ginger leads the way, lively and energizing, yet perfectly balanced. It is quickly followed by the clear, stimulating essence of lemongrass, which brings a freshness that’s almost tea-like and dances on the palate. Local wild juniper provides a solid, classic heart, allowing the other botanicals to express themselves with elegance. Subtle waves of coriander add a sweet and spicy complexity, while the delicate warmth of black pepper and the comforting spice of cinnamon create a round and harmonious texture. The gin maintains an impressive balance, with each botanical contributing to a cohesive and vibrant profile, without any one dominating.
The Finishing Touch:
The finishing touch is crisp, fresh, and wonderfully aromatic, leaving a lasting impression of fresh ginger and lemongrass that lingers gracefully. The gentle warmth of pepper and cinnamon offers a comforting sensation, while classic juniper notes ensure a dry and refreshing finish. This gin leaves the palate clean and revitalized, inviting another sip.
